Kytel is the alias of 30 yr old Carl Graham, who is originally from Newcastle Upon Tyne, but has been living in Birmingham for the last Ten years It is here which he started to take his production and DJing more serious (as he had already been DJing and producing as a hobby for over six years) and met up with local producer Tidal, who also had a vision of pushing the music further, and formed the Central Projection crew (with fellow DJs & producers Roeg Du Casq, Jay Le Roc and MC Smilee) who hosted (and still are hosting!!) a number of deep & progressive nights in Birmingham.
After performing at some of these events, Kytel became a Hotfoot resident (who are responsible for hosting the Progression Sessions in Birmingham), and got the chance to play at the Sessions in 2004 along side the mighty LTJ Bukem. Kytel has also been a guest many times on Tidals weekly DnB show (New style Radio 98.7fm), which gave him the opportunity to air some of his earlier tracks, and got some positive feedback and support from some big names like: - Future Engineers (one of his tracks is featured on their latest mix), Blame, Pariah and Nookie to name a few. This led to three tracks being signed to Strictly Digital earlier this year and one of his tracks being featured on a mix by The Separatist (featuring MC DRS), which has been getting some positive response online. Expect to hear some fresh material (various styles) from Kytel in 2007, and see him perform at more events in and around Birmingham.
