Hailing from Redditch (Midlands, UK) Tommy AKA Scenic first intro to the scene
was when he heard 'Music' from LTJ Bukem in (1993). After hearing other various compilations like Promised Land, he later ventured into his own productions in 2001.
Scenic's influences draw from the warmer side of electronic music,
which pays a complement to his deeper style of Drun 'n' Bass.
Scenic has also put on successful nights in the Midlands
with the Real Vibez crew, alongside Skam (Nu-Verse), Prospa & Advisory,
who were also part of the Resistance Collective in 2006.
His favourite producers include Big Bud, Future Engineers, Omni Trio,
Alix Perez, PFM, Teebee, Klute & LTJ Bukem.
An important development in Scenic's production was when he hooked up with local producer Advisory. Who at the time was producing a harder style of Drum 'n' Bass. The fusion of styles resulted in the duo producing there debut EP entitled 'Moving Deep'.
It was around 2005 when Jay Le Roc received a copy of the 'Moving Deep' EP
which got played out during a mix on the 'System Check' show with Tidal.
What later followed was a remix trade between Tidal & Scenic with the track
'Airgate' which has since been signed to Textures Music (USA).
Scenic & Advisory's next batch of tunes included another 4 track demo
which again received the attention from Tidal & Galaxi.
Scenic & Advisory are due for their debut 12" on advection in 2007,
with a whole host of other tracks, lined up for other labels.
